Deanna
My name is Deanna, I’m a mom of a 6 year old and a childcare provider business owner. I was born and raised right here in Grass Valley, moved to Rocklin and returned to Grass Valley 3 years ago. After my daughter was born I spent a great deal of time focusing solely on her and my partner, I was depressed to say the least about my image and over all situation. I eventually found a local running club which inspired me and push me to accomplish goals In running, it proved to me I could do things I once thought I couldn’t and essential gave me back my life and my health.
After returning to Grass Valley I tried to start running again but I couldn’t find my people, my community and it was harder to stay focused in the sport. Somehow I stumbled across the Aerial Lab in a search to find my community. I was so intrigued and wanted to give it a shot, with a background in dance I felt confident to go for it. It was ridiculous hard for me at first, I’m not the smallest person and my weight and size can be an obstacle in all that I do. But one thing running taught me is that I’m capable. Flash forward to a year later and through hundreds of classes and hard work I’m fortunate enough to of earned myself a spot in the performance crew.
Aerial has given me so much strength, both physically and mentally and is teaching me everyday to love and appreciate wherever I am in my body and continue to strive for health and happiness. It is my true happy spot and all the hard work has paid off. I have definitely found my people .
