Mary Chapman is a passionate acrobat and lover of movement. She was a competitve gymnast in her youth. Later she found acrobatic gymnastics and competed at the elite level in a womens trio. During college she trained with the San Francisco circus center and continued as an acrobat and began training the art of hand-balancing. She went on to Hawaii and began a journey into the more gentle approach of AcroYoga. She holds an acroyoga teacher certificate from AT Montreal. She is a personal trainer and has a bachelors degree in kinesiology and exercise science. Her recent studies are leaning towards dance as a healing art form and always finding a way to blend acrobatic partner work into it. She is also researching contact improvisational dance and enjoying the freedom from rigid forms. Mary is excited to bring more floor and acrobatic elements into the aerial lab and see what can be created here!
